Zhoghovurd: Online fraud case in Gyumri
An online fraud case has been revealed in Gyumri, Zhoghovurd reports. Hasmik Sargsyan, 49, in 2008 reached agreements with her daughter, Dunya, her foreign based-relatives, Vardan, 28, and Vahan, 27, as well as her relatives Anna, Christina and Arusyak on extracting money through online fraud. Under false names, they made online acquaintances with people residing in Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain, Austria, Iran and UAE. After establishing close ties with them, the tricksters agreed to marry them and extracted money from them on the pretext of visiting abroad. As a result, the criminal group extracted USD 50000 from various people in 2008-2009.
