Seyran Ohanyan holds consultation meeting in Tavush
Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan visited Tavush region on June 7-8, Defense Ministry’s press office reported.
The Minister visited military posts on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan to get acquainted with the situation and check the reliability of engineering constructions.
Seyran Ohanyan held a consultation meeting with military officials in Tavush.
As part of his working visit to Tavush, Armenia’s Defense Minister also met with residents of border villages. During the meetings, the Minister stressed that the latest contact line incidents once again showed that no provocation by Azeri forces will remain unanswered. Armenia’s armed forces will take the respective measures to restrain the rival, the Minister noted.
Seyran Ohanyan attended the unveiling of a monument to freedom fighters in the border village of Voskevan.
He also visited the garrison hospital in Tavush to see Armenian servicemen who were injured as a result of Azeri sabotage. Seyran Ohanyan expressed his gratitude to the soldiers for their conscientious service and bravery and wished them a speedy recovery.
