A Davtyan: Azerbaijan aborts idea of investigation mechanisms
“The Armenian and Azerbaijani sides have different expectations and approaches, that’s why investigation mechanisms for the incidents occurring on the line of contact are still failed. Azerbaijan has simply withdrew from the agreements they have reached,” Republican MP Artak Davtyan told Panorama.am remarking on OSCE Chairperson-in-Office regional visit and his statement encouraging the sides to endow investigation mechanisms.
While the world says NK conflict has no military settlement, Azerbaijan insists the conflict does have a military solution, besides they are getting prepared to it.
“They, surely, understand there cannot be back to 1988, they don’t admit it and they strain the situation,” said A Davtyan.
Answering to the question why Azerbaijan refuses the investigation mechanism calls, the MP said: “If those mechanisms are established the statements of the international community will have an addressee, which Azerbaijan does not like. That’s why Azerbaijan is aborting the idea.”
