Yerkir: RPA governors to keep their posts
According to Yerkir, the intention to sack some governors has been revised by the authorities.
“All RPA governors will keep their posts. After long consideration, President decided to run for the next term with the same governors. At the same time, they realize that the presidential elections will be decisive for many of them. With a failure at the parliamentary elections, they are given a second chance,” the paper writes.
The paper unveils the names of candidates to replace outgoing PAP governors. Member of RPA parliamentary faction Rafik Grigoryan will be appointed Gegharkunik governor and Republican mayor of Vayk Harutyun Sargsyan will be Vayots Dzor governor, the paper reports, citing its sources.
