Zhoghovurd: PAP in hopeless situation
Zhoghovurd paper, citing its sources, reports that some governmental circles forced PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan to do his best to prevent Vartan Oskanian from entering parliament.
“Oskanian refused to carry out Tsarukyan’s order and said that he will leave the party if necessary, promising to provoke an international scandal over his mandate. His criminal prosecution began after he became MP,” the paper writes.
Gagik Tsarukyan’s spokesperson, Iveta Tonoyan described the rumor as absurd.
“It’s absolutely absurd. No one can force Mr. Tsarukyan to do anything.”
“However, it is a fact that PAP is in a hopeless situation. On the one hand, it does not want to support Oskanian, on the other hand, cannot disregard current developments in the party,” the paper says.
