M Ahmadinejad and Ban Ki Moon meet in Brazil
Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and UN Secretary- General Ban Ki Moon highlighted Iran’s nuclear program and Syrian issue in a meeting held in Brazil on the sidelines of the Rio+20 Summit.
Iran’s President’s official website (president.ir) quotes President Ahmadinejad as saying that Iran does not back any foreign intervention in Syrian interior affairs. According to the Iranian President the issue should be settled through negotiations and mutual understanding.
Referring to Iran and “5+1 group” talks that were held in Moscow a couple of days ago, M Ahmadinejad said all the activities of Tehran will be supervised by IAEA.
UN Secretary General said Iran has a pivotal role in international and regional affairs.
