“The government will be responsible for creating a favorable business environment from now on,” head of the Union of Native Producers of Armenia Vazgen Safaryan told reporters, commenting on the government’s program.

According to him, the 5-year program contains elements of a planned economy.

“The program is based on the liberal model, and in this respect it does not differ much from the programs of previous years. Nevertheless, this program has some achievements. The government will be responsible for creating a favorable business environment. It will involve state institutions in private sector’s industrial policy. I guess this is the greatest achievement of the program,” Safaryan said.

“The rational thing about the program is that the government should invest in the private sector, besides, government-private sector cooperation is highlighted in the program,” he concluded.
