Armenia to establish diplomatic relations with Congo
Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian had several bilateral meetings on June 21 on the sidelines of Rio+20 environmental summit.
According to Foreign Ministry information department in a meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo Raymond Tshibanga the sides reached an agreement to establish diplomatic relations between Armenia and Congo. The two ministers discussed perspectives of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, preparations for International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) Summit which will be held in October in Kinshasa.
Edward Nalbandian’s next meeting was with the Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka Gamini Lakshman Peiris. The ministers highlighted endorsement of politial dialogue, formation of judicial field, economic cooperation, development of cultural relations.
