Yerkir: Vardan Ghukasyan distressed at news that Samvel Balasanyan runs for mayor of Gyumri
Gyumri mayoral election promises to be hot and interesting, Yerkir reports.
“With PAP saying that it is still uncertain about its candidate for mayor, we keep asserting that PAP thinks MP Martun Grigoryan is the most convenient candidate. PAP considers that Grigoryan is a stronger rival than Samvel Balasanyan,” the paper says.
Gyumri mayor Vardan Ghukasyan was distressed at the news that Samvel Balasanyan runs for mayor. Ghukasyan said he wonders how Balasanyan could run against him, because he had bought Gyumri Brewery from him for dirt cheap, the paper says.
