The project on the creation of Wi-Fi hotspots and corners, as well as computer labs in higher educational institutions is aimed at helping those institutions genuinely create “boundless” communications for their students and faculty. Wi-Fi is considered to be the most efficient way to create fast and mobile internet environment in an educational institution. Thus, for example, a high-speed Wi-Fi connection will help watch video lectures given by well-known professors abroad and communicate with peers and colleagues from anywhere and at any time.
''We want to see Armenian higher educational institutions able to catch up with the rest of the world, where, nowadays, Wi-Fi is being used as the primary means of internet connectivity. Availability of Wi-Fi connection is a necessary precondition for the combination of education resources with technology. Therefore, VivaCell-MTS is committed to help educational institutions with wide application of Wi-Fi technology to education sector,'' commented VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
Thanks to the introduction of the Wi-Fi hotspots in higher educational institutions, the communication between various departments and the outer world will become more smooth and timely. Wi-Fi hotspots will contribute to much easier access to internet as they allow meeting the demand for network access by users with different wireless-enabled devices, company’s press service reported.
