“The absurd statement by Azerbaijani Defense Ministry spokesman Eldar Sabiroglu contains a contradiction. In his remarks, Mr. Sabiroglu reconfirms that it is the Azeri army that instigates ceasefire violation incidents,” Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Panorama.am, when asked to comment on Sabiroglu’s statement that Yerevan is seriously concerned over Armenian side’s failure as the ceasefire regime was violated recently.

“To have a better idea of the Azeri army’s “strength” and alleged failures of the Armenian army, I advise Mr. Sabiroglu to monitor the indicators of qualitative development of the Azeri army, which allegedly has USD 3bn budget, not through idle talks but with statistical records. There are exact records of frontline incidents, successful and failed diversions and casualties,” said Hovhannisyan.
