Sukias Avetisyan: Parties holding serious discussions ahead of forthcoming elections
“It is good that we have a multipolar National Assembly, because efficient decisions will be made with different views and approaches,” member of RPA parliamentary faction Sukias Avetisyan told Panorama.am.
When asked to comment on the rally policy of Armenian National Congress (HAK) opposition bloc, the MP said, “HAK’s last rally, a small one, showed that HAK members either do not understand why they should continue to hold rallies after entering parliament. After all, the National Assembly is the high tribune where HAK can really fight, present its approaches and positions, ask cabinet members questions. Isn’t the parliamentary tribune enough to satisfy them?”
According to the MP, Armenia’s political parties are holding discussions ahead of the forthcoming presidential elections: every party must decide whether or not to nominate candidates, to back other candidates, and whether or not to participate in electoral processes.
