Aravot: Who will be mayor of Gyumri?
Aravot’s editorial says: “Gyumri mayor Vardan Ghukasyan’s reelection or election of MP Martun Grigoryan’s placeman - which is more preferable for Gyumri residents? For them, it shouldn’t absolutely matter which of these two candidates will assume mayor’s office. It is a pure accident that these groups hide behind the flags of RPA and PAP respectively because they are not linked to any political program or party. They fight for power, administrative and economic levers and will stop at nothing in their fight. Their parties could equally well be called “pear” and “apple.”
