Arabic Studies expert: Everything possible should be done to keep Armenian hearths in post-Bashar al-Assad period
“The Armenian community of Syria is highly organized. It has managed to keep its neutrality, pro-Syrian position, based on maintenance of stability in Syria,” Arabic Studies expert Armen Petrosyan told a news conference in Yerevan.
According to him, we should direct all our efforts to preservation of our community in Syria, because it is our representation in the Middle East. “Why should we lose our positions?”
In return, Arabic Studies expert Sargis Grigoryan said that we should maintain the viability of the Armenian community of Syria, the security of the church and cultural centers.
“Everything possible should be done to keep Armenian hearths in post-Bashar al-Assad period,” Grigoryan stressed.
