Iravunk: UK to monitor Armenia’s ‘orange field’
Iravunk, citing well-informed sources, says that Britain is tasked to clear up the criteria and carry out preliminary selection of a common opposition candidate, with UK diplomats and such organization as the British Council assigned to monitor the “orange field” in Armenia. The next phase will see coordination of the candidate’s name with London and Washington.
This is the reason why member of Heritage opposition party Styopa Safaryan met with British diplomats in Armenia and Turkey, because he was in a hurry to present Raffi Hovannisian as the most convenient preliminary common candidate and damage the chances of Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Vartan Oskanian as far as possible, the paper writes.
