Zhoghovurd: Jermuk Group workers stage strike
Jermuk Group Company’s workers staged a strike on July 30, 16:00 local time against low pay (AMD 85,000), Zhoghovurd reports.
The paper’s sources say that Company’s director Anastas Arsenyan was also present. He pretended to be an ordinary worker, but promised to talk about the problem with his brother, Republican MP Ashot Arsenyan.
According to the paper, Anastas Arsenyan dismissed strike rumors.
“Our workers receive AMD 85,000 in wages, and we plan to increase the wages in January. There has been no strike. If a worker is paid more in some other company, they can go and work there,” Arsenyan is quoted as saying.
