Iranian MP: Ankara should answer for activities of Turkish general arrested in Syria
Turkey should answer for the activities of the Turkish general who was arrested in Syria, said Vice Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Mansour Haghighat-Pour, according to Fars News Agency.
“Turkey has no right to interfere in Syria’s internal affairs. That is why Ankara should answer what was the purpose of the Turkish general’s trip to Syria,” the MP said.
Commenting on Turkey’s intervention in the internal affairs of Syria, the Iranian parliamentarian said, “Turkey’s population must not stay indifferent to the anti-Islamic policy of that country. It is hardly probable that Turkey’s population will be silent if it turns out that the Turkish government supplies weapons to terrorists.”
