Expert: Ukraine hard nut for Azerbaijan to crack
“Ukraine is a hard nut for Azerbaijan to crack,” Stanislav Taravos, Russian political scientist, head of Regnum news agency’s expert group, said in an interview with Analitika.at.ua, commenting on Azeri media’s attempts to draw Ukraine into anti-Armenian propaganda campaign.
According to the expert, Kiev is the leader in the relations between Kiev and Baku.
“In general, when an opportunity presents itself, this factor enables to raffle off the “Azerbaijani card” so that Moscow will seem like paradise to Baku. Baku missed the time for active geopolitics in the post-Soviet area. Waves of the so-called Arab Spring are approaching Azerbaijan. They have swallowed Turkey, and as a result Turkey “gave birth to a Kurdish baby.” Azerbaijan has already come under pressure by the so-called Arab Spring. Whom will Azerbaijan give birth to? That is the intriguing point.”
