Iranian website: Iranian students send open letter to regional dictator Ilham Aliyev
Iranian students have criticized the anti-democratic policy of regional dictators, Bibaknews.com reported.
According to the website, 5 Iranian student organizations sent open letters to the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain calling attention to repressions and human rights violations in their countries.
The letter of Iranian students to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev reads: “Mister Aliyev, what religion do you profess? We know the religion of your people: they are Muslims. How can you talk about democracy when you disregard the rights of the majority of Azerbaijan’s population? How can you talk about democracy when Muslims are banned from performing namaz outside mosques in your country, and young people fighting for their rights undergo repression?”
