4th Armenian Barbecue Festival to be held in Akhtala on September 8
The 4th Annual Armenian Barbecue Festival will be held in Akhtala, Lori region of Armenia, on September 8, Sedrak Mamulyan, head of the “Maintenance and Development of Armenian Culinary Traditions" NGO, told reporters in Yerevan.
“The objective of the festival is to present and spread our national cuisine as well as to boost tourism,” he noted.
Like previous year, the festival is expected to attract a large number of visitors. Festival’s official opening at 14:00pm will follow a contest program, Mamulyan said.
13 local restaurants will participate in the fest. Regional restaurants and individuals have also submitted bids for participation in the festival.
The barbecue fest has been organized by the “Maintenance and Development of Armenian Culinary Traditions" NGO and co-organized by the Armenian Ministry of Economy, Areni Fest Foundation and Lori Regional Administration.
