Collapse of Ghukasyan clan: next clan’s actions will also go unpunished?
Haykakan Zhamanak daily reminds that police announced search for Spartak Ghukasyan, the son of Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan, on Wednesday over a recent crossfire incident in Gyumri. Vardan Ghukasyan’s security guard was detained over the same incident on Wednesday. More, police deprived Vardan Ghukasyan of his right to have security guards.
The paper writes that shooting incidents involving the Ghukasyan clan are common in Gyumri, but the case is being investigated only a few days before Ghukasyan’s resignation.
“It means that the clan that will come to replace the Ghukasyans can also shoot, kill and rob - and that will go unpunished - until “dad” resigns,” the paper writes.
