Casillas: Barcelona has a great team
Iker Casillas, goalkeeper and captain of Real Madrid, admitted following Wednesday night's victory that, "the team has not started well." However, he welcomed the improved image offered by Madrid during the second leg against Barcelona: "We played a great game," he said.
In addition, Casillas gave a few words of encouragement to the rival goalkeeper and to the Barcelona team as a whole: "Victor Valdés has played a perfect match and has made some great saves. Barcelona has a great team. I think we've had the best occasions and we had a great game", he stated.
"We must give many thanks to Barcelona for staying at the Bernabeu," the goalkeeper added. Casillas thanked the visitors for not leaving the pitch while Real Madrid were awarded the trophy, Marca.com reported.
