Artsakh President receives Armenian and German writers’ delegation
On 31 August, Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan received heads of the Writers’ Unions of Armenia and Artsakh, Levon Ananyan and Vardan Hakobyan, writer and publicist Zori Balayan as well as German writers Jurgen Jankofsky and Andre Schinkel.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the development of literature and culture in Artsakh.
President Sahakyan attached great importance to the role of literature in preserving national identity, upbringing the younger generation and cementing universal values. Within this context, he underlined the necessity of establishing and developing cooperation with various countries, including Germany, noting that there are favorable conditions for that, presidential press service reported.
