Haykakan Zhamanak: Ruben Hayrapetyan’s resignation to be announced during special NA session
The National Assembly of Armenia will convene a special session on Wednesday to address the situation with Ramil Safarov extradited to Azerbaijan from Hungary and pardoned by the Azerbaijani President, Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
At least 44 signatures are required to convene a special session.
The National Assembly is due to issue a statement during the special session.
RPA faction member Ruben Hayrapetyan’s resignation is also expected to be announced during the session, following the death of military doctor Vahe Avetyan, who was beaten severely at the Harsnakar Restaurant owned by the MP. His resignation will be accepted on September 21 unless he withdraws it, the paper writes.
