RA MFA: Armenia not to pull out of Karabakh talks
Ramil Safarov’s extradition to Azerbaijan and pardon by the Azerbaijani President has already had a negative impact on Karabakh talks, the Foreign Minister of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, told a joint press conference with his Argentine counterpart, Héctor Timerman.
Commenting on rumors that Armenia could pull out of Karabakh talks, Nalbandian stated that Armenia has no intention to abandon the talks, while Azerbaijan constantly takes steps and makes statements aimed at frustrating the talks.
“The international community cannot tolerate Azerbaijan maintaining its adventurous policy under the guise of talks, which poses a serious threat to regional peace and security and is also fraught with serious threats to international security and stability,” said the Armenian FM.
According to him, the international community is also deeply concerned about the move of Hungary, a member of EU and NATO, Hungary’s deal with Azerbaijan.
“How could Hungary pretend to believe Azerbaijan and go for such a dubious step?” he asked.
