Serzh Sargsyan, Bako Sahakyan attend reopening of basic school in Artsakh
On September 8, Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan, along with President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, attended a solemn ceremony of reopening the basic school named after Khachatur Abovyan in the town of Shoushi, overhauled by the co-financing of the NKR government and Hayastan All Armenian Fund.
In his remarks, President Sahakyan said that education is one of the strategically important fields for the republic, which is always in the spotlight of authorities, adding that the existence of such an educational establishment in Shoushi will also have a great contribution to boosting the town’s consistent development.
The leaders of the two Armenian states visited some construction sites in Shoushi and got acquainted with the activities carried out there.
NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan, National Security Secretary of the Republic of Armenia Arthur Baghdasaryan, Executive Director of Hayastan All Armenian Fund Ara Vardanyan and other officials attended the events, presidential press service reported.
