Barcelona unhappy Brazil plays Alves
FC Barcelona is said to be unhappy that Dani Alves played 90 minutes for Brazil against South Africa, Marca.com reported.
The full-back was unable to play against Real Madrid in the return leg of the Super Copa de España, due to a thigh injury sustained in the warm-up prior to the game.
Barça wanted to take no risks with the player and in the following match - against Valencia – he only played in the second half. Vilanova wanted Brazil coach Mano Menezes to rest the player and only use him for a short period of the game, and would have even preferred Adriano to play in his place.
