Iranian MFA: Military act against Syria will put the whole region in danger
The entire region will be involved in a serious crisis in case of military intervention in any countries in the region, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast told a news briefing, according to Mehr news agency.
To settle the crisis in Syria, Mehmanparast suggested, foreigners should cease meddling in Syria, stop arming opposition groups, and prevent terrorist activities in the country.
He called on all countries which have a “positive” and “influential” role in the country to take practical steps to calm the conflict in Syria.
He added, “As we have repeatedly announced, there is no military solution to the Syrian issue.”
