Haykakan Zhamanak: CC to consider HAK activist’s lawsuit in November
On November 27, the Constitutional Court of Armenia will consider the lawsuit of HAK activist Tigran Arakelyan sentenced to six years in prison by the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan’s Kentron and Nor-Marash administrative districts, lawyer Vahe Grigoryan told Haykakan Zhamanak.
The paper reminds that during the trial against four young HAK activists on January 31, judge Gagik Poghosyan dismissed Tigran Arakelyan from courtroom after the HAK activist announced that the criminal case was fabricated. The judge then banned him from attending the next three hearings in the case.
“Lawyer Vahe Grigoryan appealed the court’s illegal decision to the Constitutional Court,” the paper reports.
