Haykakan Zhamanak: Arshaluys Paytyan will be appointed governor?
Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Lieutenant General Arshaluys Paytyan, who was dismissed by President Serzh Sargsyan on September 6, spreads rumors that he will be appointed governor soon, Haykakan Zhamanak reports.
“However, it seems too unlikely, at least now, especially after Serzh Sargsyan’s scandalous consultation meeting, with Paytyan’s name linked to loud abuses in the field,” the paper writes, adding that Paytyan was also in charge of ammunition and purchases.
