French envoy hopes for progress in Nagorno-Karabakh talks
French ambassador to Azerbaijan Pascal Meunier has announced that they believe that progress will be achieved in the negotiations and the way of the solution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be found, according to APA.
“The progress in Nagorno-Karabakh settlement depends on the political will of the sides. We can assist, but without political will of both countries it will be impossible to find the solution,” he said.
The peaceful solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was the priority issue discussed at the meeting between French and Azerbaijani presidents in Paris, the ambassador noted.
“We cannot say that France remains passive towards finding the solution to Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as the last meeting between OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia was held in Paris,” Mr Meunier stressed.
