PAP meeting ends: Oskanian, other PAP members to speak out on Monday
During Monday’s parliament session, Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) will express its position on Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan’s petition to deprive Vartan Oskanian of immunity, PAP MP, former Armenian Foreign Minister, founder of the Civilitas Foundation Vartan Oskanian told reporters after PAP meeting today.
When asked to comment on the Prosecutor General’s petition, Oskanian repeated his earlier statement that the charge is unfounded, and called it a political order.
Everything will become clear on Monday, Oskanian said to reporters in response to their questions.
On September 27, Armenia’s Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan presented a petition to the National Assembly to deprive member of PAP parliamentary faction Vartan Oskanian of immunity. The Prosecutor General petitions to involve Oskanian as a defendant in an ongoing criminal investigation into alleged money laundering by the Civilitas Foundation he formerly headed.
