Armenian gang trial begins in Yerevan
A trial of Armenian gang rendered harmless in Yerevan in September 2011 began in the Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan today.
Several former officials have allegedly suffered from the actions of the gang.
Therefore, security was tightened in the courtroom, with more than a dozen police officers attending the trial. Not all relatives of defendants (for example, relatives of gang member, Yezidi Kyaram Amoyan) were allowed to enter the courtroom during the trial due to the lack of vacant seats.
Besides Kyaram Amoyan, the defendants include Artush Hakobyan, David Galstyan, Samvel Davtyan, Arman Dallakyan and Arthur Manukyan.
