Artsakh President visits Kashatagh region
On September 29, Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan visited the Kashatagh region and held a consultation meeting with the regional administration staff, heads of communities and school directors.
Issues related to agriculture, in particular, harvest activities and educational field were discussed during the meeting.
The President noted that the Kashatagh region with its great potential could become the engine of the republic's economic growth.
In the context of the region's socio-economic development Bako Sahakyan also rated as important the role of education, underlining that the state would pay special attention to the development of this field in the region.
After the meeting, the President attended a ceremony of donation of modern transportation means to the Kashatagh and Shahoumyan regions provided by philanthropist Maxim Hakobyan.
Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Speaker of the National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan, Prime Minister Ara Haroutyunyan and other officials accompanied the President during the visit, presidential press service reported.
