No decision yet on involving Oskanian as defendant in Civilitas case
There is no decision yet on involving MP Vartan Oskanian as a defendant in the money laundering proceedings against the Civilitas Foundation, Oskanian’s laywer, Tigran Atanesyan, told Panorama.am.
“I suppose that the National Assembly has not referred a relevant decision to the investigative body, so apparently this is why there is no decision on involving Oskanian as a defendant,” the lawyer said.
On October 2, the Armenian National Assembly by the vote of 64 to 6 approved the petition by Armenian Prosecutor General, Aghvan Hovsepyan, to strip Vartan Oskanian of immunity.
Aghvan Hopsepyan gave assurances that Vartan Oskanian will not be arrested, the investigation will be transparent, and the results of the investigation will be available to public.
