David Harutyunyan: PACE's Legal Affairs and Human Rights Committee to debate Safarov in November
PACE's Legal Affairs and Human Rights Committee will hold debate on Safarov Case during its next session in Paris in November, David Harutyunyan, head of the Armenian delegation in PACE, chairman of the Armenian National Assembly’s Standing Committee on State and Legal Issues, told a Panorama.am reporter in an interview in Strasbourg, commenting on the results of the PACE Bureau session on October 5.
“I think the topic of the debate will be called Ways of Preventing Abuse of Rights within the Framework of Strasbourg Convention. Safarov Case will appear as part of this topic,” said Harutyunyan.
The head of the Armenian delegation thinks it is unlikely that the investigation of the details of the Hungarian-Azerbaijani deal will be included in session agenda.
