Viviano injury not serious
There was a scare in Italy training on Tuesday after Fiorentina goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano picked up a knock.
According to Football Italia, medics were quickly on the scene after the custodian asked for assistance, but fears of a serious injury have been dismissed.
Viviano, who snapped knee ligaments last year, has only suffered bruising and should thus be able to continue training over the next few days.
The former Palermo man is one of four goalkeepers selected by Cesare Prandelli for the World Cup qualifiers against Armenia and Denmark.
The others are Juventus’ Gigi Buffon, Salvatore Sirigu of Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli veteran Morgan De Sanctis.
