Zhoghovurd: Oskanian’s nomination as common opposition candidate discussed
Second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan has lately met with PAP MP, former Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian to discuss the upcoming presidential elections, Zhoghovurd daily reports, citing its sources.
According to the paper, Kocharyan told Oskanian that he has no intention to run for president. He noted that Oskanian is the best candidate for president.
The paper tried to contact Kocharyan’s spokesperson for a comment, but as always, he did not answer his phone.
Oskanian’s nomination as a common opposition candidate is also being discussed, the paper adds, with the United States being active in this issue.
