Armenian President receives Co-Chair of Armenian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission
On October 12, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received the Co-Chair of the Armenian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, Minister of Transportation of the Russian Federation Maxim Sokolov and his delegation.
The President of Armenia congratulated Maxim Sokolov on his appointment as the Russian Co-Chair of the Commission and wished him success.
The Co-Chairs of the Commission - the Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sarkissian and RF Minister of Transportation Maxim Sokolov, presented to Serzh Sargsyan the results of the Commission’s session which took place earlier in the day.
President Sargsyan expressed hope that through its efficient work the Commission will continue to contribute to the development of the strategic relations between Armenia and Russia, deepening of cooperation in the economic area and further strengthening of the ties between the two friendly states and peoples. The President of Armenia hailed the role of the Intergovernmental Commission in the areas of economy, energy, transport and communication, as well as in the implementation of the agreements reached in the scientific, technical, and humanitarian spheres, presidential press service reported.
