Prandelli: Buffon desperate to play against Denmark
Italy Coach Cesare Prandelli has admitted that Gianluigi Buffon is desperate to start against Denmark, despite missing training, according to Football Italia.
The Juventus 'keeper sat out Monday's session after suffering from a slight thigh strain, but the 55-year-old tactician has confirmed that the veteran shot-stopper is keen to play in the World Cup qualifier at San Siro.
“Buffon wants to play,” he told a Press Conference. “We will assess it in the morning, but he hasn't trained as a precaution.”
