President Sargsyan attends opening of newly built depository of ancient manuscripts in Etchmiadzin
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Mrs. Rita Sargsyan attended the opening ceremony of Vatche and Tamar Manoukian matenadaran in the Holy See of Etchmiadzin on Thursday.
The construction of Vatche and Tamar Manoukian matenadaran was initiated by His Holiness, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II and realized through the donation of the Holy See benefactors Vatche and Tamar Manoukians from London. Matenadaran comprises three libraries of the Holy See and the exhibition of the manuscripts, allowing the reading community and scientists to use rich collection of the religious and Armenian study books from the Holy See depository, presidential press service reported.
