Aravot: Vardan Ghukasyan installs statue complex at the expense of others
Former Gyumri mayor Vardan Ghukasyan has left huge debts to Mayor’s Office, Aravot reports. It was revealed that Ghukasyan owes sculptor Artush Papoyan AMD 3 300 000 for the Vardanants statue complex that was installed four years ago. The paper comments: “Vardan Ghukasyan perpetuated participants of Vardanants war. He not only installed a statue complex in their honor but also renamed the central square in front of Mayor’s Office into Vardanants Square and certainly did it not only in honor of the heroes but also himself.”
