Armenian chess players at Chigorin Memorial
Armenian grandmasters Robert Hovhannisyan, Zaven Andriasian and Sergey Grigoriants scored 6.5 points each out of 9 and shared 10-18th places at the rapid tournament that was held as part of Chigorin Memorial in St. Petersburg, Russia.
GM Avetik Grigoryan scored 6 points, GMs Yuri Ajrapetjan's and Artur Gabrielian's 5.5 points each.
GM Denis Khismatullin (Russia) finished first with 8 points.
The main tournament of the festival starts today, Armenian Chess Federation website reported.
