Haykakan Zhamanak: Putin postpones foreign visits
Russian President Vladimir Putin has again postponed a scheduled visit to Armenia, which was to take place in late October or early November, Haykakan Zhamanak reports.
Russia’s President has also postponed his visits to India, Turkey and Pakistan, Russian media say.
Reuters reported on Friday that Putin was suffering from back trouble. But his spokesperson dismissed the talk.
“In Yerevan, Putin and Sargsyan were expected to discuss appointment of Armenian Prime Minister. Governmental sources say Sargsyan and Putin will discuss this issue during a bilateral meeting as part of the meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council in Ashgabat in early December,” the paper writes.
