168 Zham: Tsarukyan prefers neutrality
Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader Gagik Tsarukyan has not yet finally decided on running in the upcoming presidential elections, but he is inclined to take so-called “neutral” position, 168 Zham reports, citing sources close to PAP.
It means that PAP is not going to nominate its candidate and at the same time is not going to back any other candidate, namely incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan.
“If this scenario is realized, after the presidential elections Prosperous Armenia Party will either return to coalition as an equal member or will receive several portfolios in the next cabinet for “non-partisan” ministers just as it was with the current minister of sport and youth affairs,” the paper writes.
