Iranian FM, Syrian Oil Minister meet in Tehran
Iran's top foreign affairs official underlined the country's all-out support for the Syrian government and people against the plots hatched by the enemies.
The remarks were made in a meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and Syrian Oil Minister Said Maza Hanidi in Tehran on Tuesday night, Iran's semi-official Fars news agency said.
During the meeting the Iranian foreign minister reaffirmed the Islamic Republic's support for the Syrian government and people in all arenas.
The Syrian Oil Minister thanked Iran for its support of the Syrian government and nation and expressed hope that the two countries would expand their ties in the future.
Iran and Syria have forged an alliance ever since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran (1978) and the two countries' officials exchange visits on a regular basis.
