Villa: I am almost ready to play 90 minutes
Barcelona attacker David Villa says that he is nearly back to full match fitness again after spending the second half of the 2011-12 campaign on the sidelines due to a fractured leg, Goal.com reported.
The Spain international impressed in the Catalans' 3-1 La Liga win over Celta Vigo at the weekend and has now scored in three consecutive games, much to his delight.
"I've spent a lot of time training with the team, I started on the first day of the pre-season, and little by little I’ve got into the rhythm of the competition," Villa told Barca TV.
"I’ve started three games in a row and that makes me happy. I don’t think I’m too far off from being able to play the full 90 minutes.
"As a forward, goals are important on an individual level, but they also help the team."
