Hovhannes Sahakyan: Opposition unlikely to nominate common presidential candidate
Armenian opposition is unlikely to nominate a common presidential candidate, RPA parliamentary faction secretary Hovhannes Sahakyan told reporters while commenting on domestic political developments.
According to him, even the Armenian National Congress (HAK) does not have a common candidate. As for other candidates, it is not yet clear whether or not they are ready to back any other candidate.
Regarding PAP’s position, the MP noted that it is still early to make any conclusions.
Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction secretary Aram Manukyan’s statement made on Monday that HAK is ready to cooperate with all political forces is a political mistake, according to Sahakyan.
“HAK and Aram Manukyan once had a large political capital, but they lost it: a political team cannot cooperate with everybody. Let them attend to their own problems,” Sahakyan concluded.
