Iravunk: New conflict could emerge in HAK
“According to sources close to Armenian National Congress (HAK), disappointment is replacing the enthusiasm that followed a meeting between Levon Ter-Petrosyan and U.S. ambassador John Heffern and the hint that Levon Ter-Petrosyan will run for president without fail,” Iravunk writes.
“The point is that HAK leader sent a message through his loyal men – Levon Zurabyan and Aram Manukyan – urging HAK members to wait a little longer because they might need to back Vartan Oskanian’s candidacy, as the American “chiefs” wish. This naturally resulted in low spirits, which is likely to lead to resumption of conflict inside HAK,” the paper writes.
