Zhoghovurd: Former oppositionist Arkadi Vardanyan returns to Armenia
Head of Heritage parliamentary faction Ruben Hakobyan met with former oppositionist Arkadi Vardanyan in Yerevan three days ago, Zhoghovurd writes.
Witnesses say they had a long walk and conversation.
Ruben Hakobyan confirmed this information to Zhoghovurd. However, he told the paper that he had met Vardanyan accidentally, they had just asked about each other’s lives and had not discussed political matters.
The paper reminds that doctor of political sciences Arkadi Vardanyan was imprisoned for several months in 2000 autumn for opposition activities but was released later on condition of leaving Armenia. He is back now.
